In March 1996, the creators and producers of DTTV set out to
produce a pilot, a business plan and script package to offer into
syndication their own brand of internet television. In just 90 days,
from the heart of 'Telecom Beach', DTTV produced three Television
pilot episodes, a web site, and a cadre of sponsors and enthusiastic
followers who saw great potential in DigitalTalkTV as "A New Paradigm
in Learning and Entertainment". Since then, the creators of
DigitalTalkTV expanded their vision into what is now The T Channel.
DigitalTalkTV is part of the program block under The T Channel. This
section is an archive of preceeding news coverage of DigitalTalkTV.

DigitalTalkTV
The Internet and television are converging. This we've been told.
We're going to channel surf and surf the net simultaneously. The
mail-order giant Gateway has already introduced a PC-TV called
Destination and major consumer electronics companies are hustling
to have similar products ready for you by third quarter.
A group of San Diego visionaries thnk they have the perfect show
for this multimedia entertainment box of the future:
"DigitalTalkTV." It is a TV talk show. It is an Internet Real
Audio, CU-SeeMe gabfest. It is a World Wide Web live research
tool. And it is more stuff that the show's creators will consider
as the technology catches up with their vision.
"DigitalTalkTV" has broadcast test programs on local public access
cable TV and will make a public debut tomorrow night at the U.S.
Grant Hotel during the Digital Multimedia Association meeting with
a "live global Internet news feed." Live weekly broadcasts are a
matter of weeks away.
If you want a preview of the TV-PC convergence the 6:30-8 p.m. DMA
meeting is $5 for members, $10 for nonmembers. Make reservations
as 685-2068.
