For the first time in San Diego's history, the leaders of every major professional and technical organization in San Diego came together in support of DigitalTalkTV to give their respective 'state-of-the-union' addresses. The entire event was was captured live-to-tape and broadcast live via CU-SeeMe as DTTV's Global Press Release.The founders of DTTV, Roger Hedgecock and the Engine Room were on the stage and on the web. DigitalTalkTV was proud to be sponsored by Cox Communications, Powerhouse Exhibits, Hewlett Packard and others in providing a fully functioning communications technology exhibit and multimedia stage during Insights '96 . And with Roger and three different sets of four Guests, DTTV produced the following live-to-tape episodes:
- Education on the Edge
- Way Cool Interactive Stuff
- The Tour of Technology
Over 30 representatives from San Diego's technology industry are volunteering their time and expertise in helping to produce these three live episodes. DigitalTalkTV was broadcasting "On the Air and On the Web" via every conceiveable form of data transmission available to us. We started off with five nationally-aired Public Service Announcements and followed with one 12 Hour Live Broadcast over CTN local Cable TV, at Insights we displayed products and sites over 30+ Mission Hills TV monitors with Digital Vision TeleEyes Pro Scan Converters, and over the web in realtime with Marshall Industries and Real Audio, and finally from the Engine Room via CU-SeeMe from a co-located HP Server.
The DigitalTalkTV Live Internet News Feed was once again fired up and producing Hyper-Scripts per each episode. However, due to audio technical difficulties, the hyperscripts are under revision by the TechnoScribe.
